Chakras and Energy Work

What are Chakras? The word 'chakra' is derived from a Sanskrit word meaning 'wheel' perhaps even a better translation would be spinning wheel. The chakras start at the base of the spine and go up through the head on the kunilini which is located almost on your spinal column.

I have been doing Chakra work on myself and with clients for several years and when I am in tune things work out really well. This last year I have gone through many changes and I have lost the routine of balancing myself. I decided to do some work on my Chakras so I can be in balance and ready for the New Year.

I decided to look on line and see what other information I could find that I did not already know. I came across a great test I had confirmation of what I already knew that some of my chakras were not as active as they should be. No surprise there, at least I know which ones I need to work on so I can have a good 2012.

Do you know what colors your chakras are? I am truly inspired every time I work with a client helping them to balance their chakras. First thing I do is point to where the chakra is and ask them to tune into what color they think it is. Even people that have never heard of them or are not sure what I am doing always, always come up with the right colors. Sometimes the colors are in the wrong place but this is very informative for me as it confirms to me my intuition of what I know is going on with them. So even if you do not believe in any of this if you tune into your body you will know somehow where and what color your chakras are. Once you know what is going on with them you can then get them to increase in energy and really work for you. Your self esteem, clarity, being grounded etc will all be different and you will FEEL much better.
